Cool beans
I mean I thought they were okay.
I made more Brazil-inspired black beans today, with rice, of course. It was much better than last time, which makes sense as I remembered to salt the bean cooking water, and I used 3/4 of a head of garlic, so it would have been hard for it not to taste good. I also put sage in it; I don't know if that's something that is done to black beans, and I'm not even sure I could pick out the taste in the finished product, but I thought the whole ensemble was good. And there is a ton left over, so I'm glad it was pleasant. It will probably heat up nicely with chicken broth tomorrow.
