Journeying Through Food in Love

Tis the season(ing)

I made a piece of bread with three eggs on it for lunch today, and, differently than in my more distant past, I actually put things in it to make it taste interesting. Having learned that soy sauce on eggs is absolutely delicious, I dripped some in while they were still frying, along with salt and pepper, and a shake of garlic powder. Wow. It made a HUGE difference. I used to make stuff like this in the past and wonder why it always seemed so dull. Probably because it was so dull. For some reason, I always thought about spices and seasonings as though they were too minor to count, which sounds rather like how I classified smallish purchases, too, and in both cases, the results were less than positive. I now know that purchases add up, even if they are small and distributed, and that what you do or don't sprinkle on your food makes an enormous difference in the enjoying of it!
