Journeying Through Food in Love

Well, that was weird

Not the worst, just kind of weird.

I made a Garlic Ginger Lemon Liver Burger (of course!).

It was composed of

I really wanted to get a lot of liver in me without tasting it too much (though beef liver turned out to be not all that bad, or different than chicken liver; perhaps a little more metallic but less pungent). So I threw everything I had at this thing.

It was weird but tolerable. Not ready for primetime, that's for sure. Everything was cooked fine except the potatoes I also made. It's mostly just the combination that was strange and out of balance.

I tried cooking a whole potato worth of fake French fries in the pan at the same time a huge sliced onion and there just wasn't space. They were too hard.

I got the idea watching a video about Alexandrian (Egypt) liver sandwiches. They make it look delicious but they also used a marinade and a tahini sauce made from all kind of things I don't have. Maybe I can work up to that. I would love to love liver sandwiches.

This was my most desperate and experimental attempt yet, and I did learn something from it.
